OCTOBER EXHIBITIONS
Rod Mikinski Photography is pleased to announce six selected photographs for two National fine arts exhibitions. He will have three photographs at the 10th Annual Visions of the Flint Hills Exhibition in Kansas City, MO and three photographs showing at the Trinity Art Show in Sacramento, CA.
The 10th Annual Visions of the Flint Hills art benefit and sale is a juried exhibition featuring art of the vanishing prairie. All artworks depict or are derived from the Flint Hills area of Kansas.
The gallery opening will be Oct 5th from 6:00-9:00 PM CST and will run from October 2 through November 17, 2018 at Buttonwood Art Space, 3013 Main Street, Kansas City, MO 64108.
This juried exhibition benefits Friends of Konza Prairie which promotes educational research and experiences in the Konza Prairie Biological Station, an area of the Flint Hills just south of Manhattan, Kansas. The 8,600 acre Konza Prairie and the surrounding Flint Hills region contain the largest remaining parcels of the Tallgrass Prairie that once covered 140 million acres in North America. All artworks will depict or be derived from the Flint Hills area of Kansas.
The Trinity Art Exhibition is entitled, "Who Is My Neighbor?" The question forming the theme of this show is intended to promote full exploration of humanities’ shared community and experiences. Sponsored by TrintyEpiscipol Church in Sacramento, this is going to be an amazing show.
An opening reception will take place Oct. 5th from 6-8 PM in the lovely courtyard off the lobby at the Alex G Spanos Heart Center at Mercy Hospital, 4001 J Street, Sacramento, CA 95819. The exhibit will run from October 5 – Oct. 26, 2018
